These french toast nutella rolls are yummy crispy treats filled with chocolatey goodness and then topped off with cinnamon sugar. The result is a delicious dessert very similar to a freshly made churro
Ingredients
- 3 slices white bread per serving (even if your bread is somewhat stale it’ll still work perfectly in this recipe)
- Nutella
- 1 large egg
- 70ml milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter (for frying)
Method
- Cut the crusts off the bread then flatten them slightly using a rolling pin.
- Spread each slice of bread with Nutella and roll them up.
- In a small bowl whisk together the milk, egg, 1 tbsp sugar and vanilla extract.
- On a seperate plate mix the remaining sugar & cinnamon together.
- Heat your pan over a medium heat with the butter.
- Dip each roll in the milk and egg mixture then place in the pan, seam side down at first and cook for about 2-3 minutes, turning them as needed until they are golden brown and slightly crisp on all sides.
- Immediately after removing from the pan, roll them through the cinnamon-sugar until all sides are coated and serve.
- ENJOY!
