Orange Chocolate Mousse

This simple 3 ingredient orange chocolate mousse is a twist on a recipe from Heston Blumenthal.

Made with dark chocolate , triple sec & hot water its so simple to make and is completely gluten & dairy free!

Ingredients

  • 350g dark chocolate, minimum 70% cocoa finely chopped
  • 235ml hot water (+- 70°C)
  • 35ml Triple Sec

Method

  1. Place the chocolate in a bowl, add the hot water and triple sec. Using a fork, mix well until the chocolate has melted.
  2. Place the bowl over an iced water bath and whisk until the mixture begins to thicken.
  3. Remove the bowl from the iced water bath and continue whisking until the mixture sets to a soft serve consistency.
  4. Chill for 10 mins and serve.

If the mousse becomes too set, just sit it over a bain marie for a few seconds to loosen it up.
